Excellent (9.5/10)
Low Investment
Rare Relics OK
Ahri is widely considered one of the strongest champions in the game, capable of clearing the most difficult content with ease. Her power level is exceptional at 3 stars and becomes practically 'broken' at 6 stars. While some players find her optimal loop—repeatedly recalling and replaying herself—repetitive, her unique mechanics offer a distinct and effective playstyle. She is very free-to-play friendly, with top-tier performance achievable using only Rare relics.
Infinite Recall Engine
  • Echoing Spirit icon
The cornerstone of this build. It creates copies of Ahri's champion spell (Charm), allowing you to recall her repeatedly. Since Ahri often costs reduced mana to replay, this fuels the loop.
  • Hidden Tome icon
Refills spell mana every time Ahri is played. Since you will be recalling and replaying her multiple times per turn, this provides the mana necessary to cast her Champion Spell or other buffs.
  • Hymn of Valor icon
Generates 'Redoubled Valor' on summon. With the infinite mana from Hidden Tome, you can cast this repeatedly on Ahri before recalling her, leading to exponential stat growth.

Strategy

This is the premier build for high-investment Ahri (especially at 6 stars). The goal is to play Ahri, generate a buff spell, recall her using her Champion Spell (Charm), and replay her. Because she retains permanent buffs on recall, her stats grow rapidly. At 6 stars, every recall/replay also strikes the Enemy Nexus, leading to a First Turn Kill (FTK).
Nexus Striker (Rare Only)
  • The Curator's Gatebreaker icon
Allows Ahri to strike the enemy Nexus immediately upon being summoned. This effectively mimics her 6-star power for players who haven't unlocked it yet.
  • Hymn of Valor icon
Creates 'Redoubled Valor' to buff Ahri's stats. This increases the damage of the Gatebreaker strike on subsequent replays.
  • Lost Chapter icon
Refills spell mana on summon. This is crucial for casting the 'Redoubled Valor' generated by Hymn of Valor or using recall spells without running out of resources.

Strategy

The optimal strategy for players without Epic relics or the 6-star upgrade. By essentially turning Ahri into a direct damage spell that returns to your hand, you bypass the need for board control and win by repeatedly slamming the Nexus.
The Champion Printer
  • Oath of the Guardians icon
Shuffles Level 2 champions into your deck with doubled stats on play. Ahri's low cost and recall ability allow you to trigger this effect multiple times in a single game.
  • Star Gem icon
Reduces the cost of the shuffled champions and buffs them further. Stacking two of these makes the generated champions extremely cheap and powerful.
  • Star Gem icon
Secondary copy for maximum cost reduction and stats.

Strategy

Leverages Ahri as a utility engine rather than the primary carry. Play Ahri to fill your deck with massive, cheap champions, then recall her to do it again or make board space for your new titans.
Other Relic Options
  • Found Fortune icon
An excellent alternative for the Epic build. It draws cards and grants items, helping you find combo pieces like 'Charm' or 0-cost units to fuel your engine.
  • Chosen by the Stars icon
A strong alternative to Hymn of Valor. It provides Fated and Augment for scaling, and crucially grants Overwhelm and Challenger at 10 power, solving chump-blocking issues.
  • Stalker's Blade icon
Useful for board control if you are struggling against swarms. Ahri's replayability turns this into a reusable removal tool.
  • Essence Theft icon
Ahri's signature relic. While it provides a free 'Homecoming', it is generally considered inferior to generic mana or stat relics because the cost reduction does not stack with itself on the same unit.
Avoid 'Corrupted Star Fragment' as it interferes with her Level 2 ability to recall allies. 'Spectral Scissors' is also not recommended as it desynergizes with her recall mechanics.
Constellation
Ahri possesses one of the strongest and most cohesive constellations in the game. Her 3-star power is a massive spike, granting stats to summoned units that persist through recalls. Her progression feels rewarding at every stage.

When you Recall an ally, grant it Spirit.
  • Icon for Whispers From Past Lives

    Whispers From Past Lives

+1 Starting Mana. Units keep permanent stat buffs and keywords when recalled. When you Recall an ally, reduce its cost by 1.
    Review
A defining power that changes the rules of the game for Ahri. Allowing recalled allies to retain permanent buffs is the core mechanic that enables her scaling strategies.

    Spirit's Blessing II

When you summon or Recall an ally, grant it Spirit.
    Review
The most critical upgrade for general play. Granting +1|+1 to units everywhere on summon solves her defensive issues and accelerates her offensive scaling significantly.
  • Icon for Hold It!

    Hold It!

Round Start: Stun the strongest enemy.
    Review
A quality-of-life upgrade that stuns the strongest enemy. It provides safety and buys time but is not required for her core loop to function.
  • Icon for Manaflow

    Manaflow

Game Start: Get a mana gem.
    Review
Standard mana flow upgrade. Always useful for accelerating her game plan, allowing for earlier loops.
  • Icon for Parting Gift

    Parting Gift

When you Recall an ally, it Strikes the enemy Nexus.
    Review
Transforms Ahri into a 'god-tier' unit. By dealing Nexus damage on recall or summon, it effectively bakes the 'Gatebreaker' relic into her kit, freeing up a slot for more consistency or scaling. This enables guaranteed OTKs.
Gameplay Tips
Mastering the Recall
Ahri's Level 2 ability recalls units to your right when she attacks. Be mindful of your attack order; placing Ahri on the far left will recall your entire board. This is powerful for saving units or re-triggering summon effects, but can leave you without blockers if you don't finish the game that turn.
Buff Retention
Ahri's 2-star power allows units to keep permanent buffs when recalled. Temporary buffs (like 'Give +2|+0 this round') are lost. Prioritize granting permanent stats via items or powers like 'Can't Stop, Won't Stop' to maximize this value.
The Infinite Loop
With cost reduction (from relics or powers) and mana refill (Lost Chapter/Hidden Tome), you can often play Ahri, attack or cast a spell, recall her, and play her again infinitely. This drains the opponent's resources or simply kills them through impact/gatebreaker damage.
Mulligan Strategy
Aggressively mulligan for Ahri. Her entire game plan revolves around her being on the board to enable recalls and generate value. Without her, the deck can feel disjointed and weak.
Counter-Synergy
Avoid powers or items that kill your own units (like Shadow Totem on Ahri without proper protection) or mechanics that rely on units dying, as your goal is usually to recall them alive. Also, be wary of the 'Broken Blade' mutator (cards cost more after being played), as it hard counters her replay-focused style.
