Rare Relics OK
Players disagree about Ashe's playstyle. Some consider her control mechanics and stat-stealing satisfying, while others find her slow, unengaging, and overly reliant on stalling until she can execute a one-turn kill. Regardless, she is widely recognized as a top-tier Freljord champion at high constellation levels, capable of trivializing difficult encounters.
C6 Nexus Strike
Enables immediate direct Nexus damage upon playing Ashe.
Stacks with the first to multiply the direct damage output.
Maximizes the one-turn kill potential by striking the Nexus a third time.
Strategy
Ashe's c6 transfers enemy power to allies in hand. When she reaches sufficient power, drop her on the board. Bonk bonk bonk. Boom.
Overwhelm Control
Grants all allies Overwhelm, allowing frostbitten enemies to be bypassed for full Nexus damage.
Refills spell mana at Round Start, enabling consistent casting of Frostbite spells and Ashe's champion spell.
Creates a Fleeting copy of Ashe's champion spell in hand at Round Start, providing continuous access to powerful Frostbite effects.
Strategy
This 3-star build focuses on overwhelming the opponent with continuous Frostbite and Overwhelm damage. Troll King's Crown is critical, allowing all units to deal full damage directly to the enemy Nexus through zero-power blockers.
Archangel's Staff ensures spell mana is available every turn to cast Frostbite spells, while The Grand General's Counterplan guarantees Ashe's presence and provides recurring crowd control. Stall the early game, control dangerous units with stuns and Frostbite, and deliver lethal damage with empowered units once Ashe is leveled.
Perma-Freeze Control
Creates additional copies of Ashe in the deck, ensuring consistent access to her champion spell.
Provides a consistent source of frostbite spells every round.
Duplicates Ashe's presence on the board, doubling her passive effects and board lockdown capabilities.
Strategy
A highly effective setup for 4-star Ashe that focuses on completely locking down the enemy board. Echoing Spirit and The Grand General's Counterplan provide an endless supply of Frostbite spells, while Frozen Tomb ensures multiple copies of Ashe are on the board to capitalize on the frozen enemies. This build is slower but offers unparalleled safety and control.
Other Relic Options
Offers an interactive playstyle by challenging strong units and gaining Barrier, providing a defensive alternative to direct damage.
Synergizes well with her spell-heavy control playstyle to maintain mana advantage.
Constellation
Ashe transitions from a slow, defensive control champion at lower star levels to an aggressive powerhouse at maximum investment. She requires significant constellation upgrades to reach her full potential, with her 4-star and 6-star upgrades providing massive spikes in effectiveness.

Frost Shot
Round Start: If you have the attack token, Frostbite the strongest enemy and give it Vulnerable this round.
Avarosan Spirit
+1 Starting Mana. When an ally kills a unit with 0 Power, grant your ally +1|+1.Review
Provides a minimal +1|+1 stat boost to an ally when killing a 0-power enemy. This effect only applies to units currently on the board, making it a low-impact upgrade.
Frost Shot II
Round Start: Frostbite the strongest enemy and give it Vulnerable this round.Review
Grants the baseline ability to frostbite the strongest enemy. While essential for her control strategy, it can be too slow against wide boards without further investment.
Treacherous Terrain
Each round, the first time an enemy summons a unit, Frostbite it.Review
Considered a critical breakpoint. This upgrade significantly accelerates her game plan, providing essential defensive utility and allowing her to consistently lock down the enemy board.
Manaflow
Game Start: Get a mana gem.
Gift of Avarosa
When you decrease an enemy's power, randomly distribute that much power among allies in hand.Review
Transforms Ashe into a premier finisher. By distributing the attack power of frostbitten enemies to units in hand, she scales exceptionally well against high-stat encounters, enabling rapid one-turn kills.
Gameplay Tips
- Avoid Stun Powers
When drafting powers, avoid those that stun enemies at round start. Stun effects resolve simultaneously with Ashe's frostbite effects, often targeting the same unit and wasting the crowd control.
- Optimize the Gatebreaker Build
If utilizing multiple copies of The Curator's Gatebreaker at 6 stars, aggressively cut followers from your deck and draft spells. This ensures that the massive stat buffs from her 6-star power land directly on Ashe in your hand. Do not use Echoing Spirit with this build, as generating too many copies of Ashe will dilute the stat gains.
- Beware of Formidable Enemies
Ashe struggles significantly against encounters featuring the Formidable keyword. Since Formidable units strike with their health, reducing their attack to zero with frostbite does not prevent them from dealing damage.
- Leverage High-Stat Encounters
Ashe excels in Nightmare adventures and encounters with inflated enemy stats. Her 6-star power scales directly with the opponent's strength, allowing her to turn their massive attack values into her own win condition.
- Vulnerability to Puffcaps and Burn
Adventures that heavily feature puffcaps or aggressive direct damage (such as Teemo or Ezreal encounters) punish Ashe's slow, stalling playstyle. Prioritize aggressive mulligans and faster win conditions in these specific matchups to avoid being worn down over time.
