High Investment Required
Epic Relics
Ekko is a highly capable and versatile champion who excels at chaining actions and generating massive board states. While his base form can feel slow or inconsistent, heavy investment into his constellation and Epic relics transforms him into an explosive powerhouse. Players disagree about his playstyle; some find the constant card generation and long turns highly engaging, while others consider the required hand management exhausting.
The Oath Engine
Play: Shuffle 5 level 2 Champions into your deck and double their stats, then draw one of them.
Allied champions have +1|+1 and cost 2 less.
Allied champions have +1|+1 and cost 2 less.
Strategy
This build capitalizes on Ekko's inherent cost reduction and Predict mechanic. Oath of the Guardians shuffles powerful champions into the deck, the Star Gems drastically reduce their cost, and Ekko's Predict easily draws them. At 6 stars, this results in a board full of massive, heavily discounted champions, often securing victories by Turn 2.
Infinite Convergence
Game Start: Create 7 copies of me in your deck. Champion Spells cost 1 less.
When I'm summoned, I strike the weakest enemy.
When I'm summoned, I strike the weakest enemy.
Strategy
This setup focuses on board control and spell generation. Echoing Spirit reduces the cost of Ekko's champion spell and increases his odds of being drawn. Playing Ekko triggers double strikes, clearing enemy units and generating Time Tricks. If Ekko is removed, replaying a cheaper copy repeats the cycle, leading to continuous Parallel Convergence loops.
Card Advantage
Play: Draw the highest cost card that costs less than my base cost, grant it an Epic item, and reduce its cost to 0.
Game Start: Create 7 copies of me in your deck. Champion Spells cost 1 less.
Power: When you play or level up a champion, refill your spell mana.
Strategy
This build maximizes spell mana and card draw. Found Fortune pulls key units from the deck, while Hidden Tome ensures there is always spell mana available to cast the generated Time Tricks and Parallel Convergences, maintaining relentless pressure.
Temporal Strikes
When I'm summoned, I strike the weakest enemy.
When I'm summoned, I strike the weakest enemy.
Game Start: Create 2 copies of me in your deck.
Strategy
A highly effective build utilizing only Rare and Common relics. Chameleon's Necklace ensures Ekko is drawn consistently, mimicking the effect of Echoing Spirit, while the Stalker's Blades provide immediate board impact upon summoning to control the early game.
Other Relic Options
Provides Overwhelm and bonus stats, serving as a strong flexible option to push damage through enemy blockers.
When combined with Echoing Spirit, this creates a highly synergistic engine that rapidly stacks Epic items on Ekko and his support champions.
Considered a trap relic for Ekko. While duplicating spells sounds appealing, it causes Ekko to burn through his hand too quickly, leading to severe hand space and overdrawing issues.
Considered a trap relic. The Game Start activation conflicts with Ekko's Predict-based gameplay loop, making it difficult to trigger reliably.
Considered a trap relic. Due to mechanical changes, it no longer doubles the buffs applied to units inside the deck, rendering it ineffective for Ekko's strategy.
Constellation
Ekko requires significant investment to reach his peak performance. His early star levels provide necessary utility, but his 4-star and 6-star upgrades are where his power ceiling dramatically increases, transforming him into one of the strongest champions in his region.

Enhances his elusive units and provides a reliable method to draft Lifesteal, which is critical for sustaining his Nexus health through longer encounters.
Sorcery
Round Start: Refill your spell mana.Review
Grants the Sorcery power, refilling spell mana each round. This is absolutely essential for maintaining his spell-heavy combo turns and casting Predicts without sacrificing board development.
Manaflow
Game Start: Get a mana gem.Review
Provides an extra starting mana gem, which accelerates his deployment and enables Turn 1 summons when combined with cost-reduction relics like Echoing Spirit.
Future Firepower
When you see a unit in a prediction, double its stats.Review
Doubles the stat bonuses granted by Predict. When combined with Oath of the Guardians, this effectively quadruples the stats of drawn champions, creating overwhelming board states that easily close out games.
Gameplay Tips
- Stacking Predict Buffs
Predict bonuses apply to all copies of a unit within the deck and stack permanently. They do not retroactively apply to units already on the battlefield, so prioritize Predicting before summoning your key threats.
- Managing Hand Space
Ekko generates a massive number of cards through strikes and spells. Prioritize playing generated spells and low-cost units to avoid overdrawing and obliterating key cards from your deck.
- Strategic Sacrifices
When equipped with summon-effect relics like Stalker's Blade, allowing Ekko to be destroyed in combat is often advantageous. Replaying a discounted copy will trigger the summon effects again, clearing the board and generating more resources.
- Countering Mill Mechanics
Ekko's ability to constantly shuffle champion spells and created cards back into his deck makes him an excellent counter to encounters that attempt to win by depleting the player's deck.
