Evelynn is a powerhouse capable of clearing the hardest content with minimal investment, relying on a potent stun-lock loop. However, her gameplay is often described as linear or repetitive, and she suffers significantly if she is not drawn in the opening hand.
Stun Lock Loop
The cornerstone of her kit. Stuns the entire enemy board every time she levels up (which happens multiple times per game), providing immense defensive control and offensive openings.
Grants a Rally every time she levels up. Combined with Tempest Blade, this allows you to stun enemies and immediately attack, often ending games in a single turn cycle.
Solves her primary weakness: consistency. Adds 7 copies to the deck to ensure you draw her, and reduces the cost of her Champion Spell (Hate Spike) which is vital for triggering manual level-ups.
Strategy
Mulligan hard for Evelynn. Play her on curve (Turn 2 with C5). Use her Champion Spell or combat to kill Husks, triggering her level-up to stun the board and rally repeatedly.
Siren's Scaling
Her signature relic. Buffs Husks everywhere and adds copies of her spell to hand, accelerating her stat growth and providing fodder for level-ups.
Grants Overwhelm, Quick Attack, and Fury to 1-cost allies (Husks and Evelynn herself). This turns her Husks into genuine threats and ensures damage pushes through.
Allows Evelynn to absorb keywords from the Husks she kills, rapidly turning her into a unit with Lifesteal, Elusive, and Spellshield.
Strategy
Focuses on raw stats and keywords rather than the stun loop. Ideal for players who own her signature relic and prefer a 'go-tall' playstyle.

The standard way to play Evelynn without Epic relics. It functions nearly identically to the optimal build but with slightly less draw consistency.
Other Relic Options
Enables a Turn 1 Evelynn drop if you have the 'Summon 2 Husks' power or similar fodder, though it requires managing unit health carefully.

Manaflow. This is her biggest power spike in the constellation, allowing a Turn 2 Evelynn drop consistently, which drastically improves her tempo and safety.
Night's Kiss
When an allied Husk grants stats to an ally, it grants double the amount.Review
Doubles the stats granted by Husks. While powerful for scaling, it is often considered 'win-more' as the Stun/Rally loop usually ends games before stats matter.
Gameplay Tips
Mulligan is Life
Evelynn's entire kit revolves around her being on the board. If you do not have her in your opening hand, use every reroll available to find her. Without her, the deck struggles to function.
Managing the Stun Loop
With Tempest Blade, Evelynn stuns the board upon leveling up. Since she can level up multiple times in a single turn (by killing a Husk, reverting at round end, and killing another), you can hold your Husk-killing spells (like Hate Spike) to trigger a stun defensively during the enemy's attack turn.
Board Space Management
Evelynn generates Husks frequently. Be careful not to fill your board completely with units that you cannot kill off. If your board is full, you may burn a generated Husk or prevent Evelynn from leveling up efficiently.
Countering Thalassophobia
In adventures with the 'Thalassophobia' power (Enemies have -1/-0 and Fear), your 0-power Husks are vulnerable to being dragged and killed for free. Use bait units to block or ensure you have a way to buff Husks immediately to prevent free enemy trades.
Hate Spike Sequencing
Use Hate Spike on your own Husks to trigger Evelynn's level up. This grants you a keyword, stats, a board stun (with relic), and a rally (with relic). Do this before you attack to clear blockers and push maximum damage.
