Excellent (9/10)
High Investment Required
Epic Relics
Paid Relics
Fiddlesticks is widely considered an S-tier champion, particularly at 6 stars where he can trivialize almost any encounter. However, he receives a high investment penalty as his optimal performance relies heavily on specific Epic and Bundle-exclusive relics. While his 'deck-out' win condition provides a unique strategic angle, some players find his optimal playstyle repetitive or 'brain-dead' once fully upgraded.
The Terrifying Trifecta
  • Shock & Awe icon
The cornerstone of Fiddlesticks' offense. Since his 3-star power triggers Terrify on instances of damage, the skill damage from this relic generates rapid Terrify procs when attacking with low-cost units.
  • Harmless Scarecrow icon
Fiddlesticks' signature relic. Grants Overwhelm and stats, allowing him to push lethal damage or accelerate the deck-out win condition.

Strategy

This build maximizes the 'instance of damage' mechanic. Your goal is to flood the board with cheap units and Nightmares. 'Shock & Awe' and Impact triggers will chain Terrify effects, activating your 6-star power to wipe the enemy board with Gloom and clear the way for an Overwhelm finish.
Power Hunter
  • Loaded Dice icon
Crucial for rerolling adventure rewards to find the 'Explosive Entrance' power (Deal 1 to the enemy Nexus when you summon an ally), which is an instant-win synergy for Fiddlesticks.
  • Shock & Awe icon
Maintains offensive pressure and Terrify generation while you search for your key powers.
  • Harmless Scarecrow icon
Provides consistency and Overwhelm to close out games once your engine is online.

Strategy

This setup prioritizes consistency over raw relic power. Use 'Loaded Dice' to aggressively reroll for powers that deal damage on summon or death. Once acquired, these powers trigger Fiddlesticks' passive continuously, locking the enemy out of the game.
Budget Reroll
  • Z-Drive Prototype icon
Provides rerolls to find essential powers like 'Explosive Entrance' or 'Spell Burn'.
  • Z-Drive Prototype icon
Additional rerolls are often more valuable than sub-optimal rare relics for Fiddlesticks.
  • The Chameleon's Necklace icon
Increases the density of Fiddlesticks in your deck, improving the odds of him being summoned early via his origin mechanic.

Strategy

Without access to Epic or Paid relics, Fiddlesticks relies heavily on specific adventure powers to function effectively. Use your rerolls to find powers that deal damage to the Nexus on summon/death, as these mimic the effects of his best-in-slot relics.
Other Relic Options
  • Echoing Spirit icon
Improves consistency by placing more copies of Fiddlesticks in the deck and reducing the cost of his champion spell. However, can lead to hand-clogging issues.
  • Chemtech Duplicator icon
A strong option for spell-heavy variants, allowing you to double-cast 'Crowstorm' or 'Reap' for massive board control in the late game.
  • The Beast Within icon
A viable alternative for Overwhelm if you lack 'Harmless Scarecrow', though it is generally outclassed by the signature relic.
  • Guardian Angel icon
Provides insurance against removal, useful in high-difficulty Nightmare adventures where keeping Fiddlesticks on the board is difficult.
Avoid 'Frozen Tomb', 'Starforged Gauntlets', and 'Cruel Experiments'. Fiddlesticks does not start in your deck (he starts in the enemy deck) and his Nightmares are summoned rather than played, rendering these relics ineffective.
Constellation
Fiddlesticks is a champion that demands high investment. His 3-star power is his engine, but he can feel clunky and vulnerable without further upgrades. He is a prime candidate for a Nova Crystal.

    Review
Generally considered low-impact. The attack reduction on enemies is minor compared to the board-wiping potential of his higher stars.

    Review
Provides a standard Mana Gem. While useful for tempo, it is overshadowed by the sheer power of his 6-star upgrade.

    Review
The 'Win Button'. This upgrade applies Gloom to all enemies whenever you trigger Terrify. Combined with his 3-star power, this creates a feedback loop that wipes the enemy board and buffs your units to massive stats, trivializing even 6.5-star content.
Gameplay Tips
  • Draft for Pings: Fiddlesticks' 3-star power triggers on instances of damage, not total damage. Powers like 'Explosive Entrance' (Deal 1 on summon) or 'Spell Burn' are far superior to raw stat buffs because they generate immediate Terrify triggers.
  • The Mill Condition: Fiddlesticks has a unique alternate win condition: decking out the opponent. In adventures with 'Cage Match' (limit damage taken) or 'Immovable Object' (Nexus takes no damage), focus on surviving and letting your Terrify procs obliterate the enemy deck.
  • Summon vs. Play: Remember that Nightmares and Fiddlesticks often enter the board via 'Summon' effects from the deck. Relics or powers that trigger 'When you play' will not activate on these units.
