This build maximizes Jax's aggressive potential. The Beast Within is highly effective because Jax's deck is primarily composed of units with the Weaponmaster subtype, granting them all a permanent stat boost and Overwhelm. Crownguard Inheritance is a core component, allowing Jax to attack, level up, and immediately attack again to close out the game. Players disagree about Living Weapon; some consider its continuous forging and burst barrier essential for scaling Jax into a massive threat and transferring those stats if he is removed, while others find it too slow for his ideal fast-paced game plan.

As Jax's stats increase through forging and spell casts, Chosen by the Stars activates, granting him Regeneration, Overwhelm, and Challenger to dominate combat.

Gameplay Tips
- Manage Equipment Draw
Jax's deck features a mechanic that draws a card when an equipped ally is defeated. Carefully manage the number of weapon-generating cards added during an adventure to prevent clogging the hand with unplayable equipment.
- Ephemeral Copy Interactions
Equipment in Legends of Runeterra is unique. If an effect creates an Ephemeral copy of Jax upon summoning, the copy will take the weapon, leaving the original Jax unequipped. This prevents the original from contributing to his level-up condition.
- Vulnerability to Direct Damage
Despite the health buffs provided by equipment, Jax's base health is relatively low. He remains highly susceptible to direct damage spells and pings from the opponent, requiring careful timing when deploying him against removal-heavy regions.
- Attachment Anti-Synergy
Units can only hold one equipment or attachment at a time. Playing an attach unit onto Jax will automatically unequip his signature weapon, disrupting his core synergies.
