Excellent (9/10)
New Player Friendly

Jinx is an exceptionally powerful, low-investment champion capable of speedrunning most content. Players disagree about her overall playstyle. Some consider her straightforward, spell-slinging approach highly efficient and enjoyable, while others find the repetitive nature of discarding hands and pinging the Nexus to be linear.

Zombie Jinx
  • The Loose Cannon's Payload icon

Instantly empties the hand upon summon, enabling a rapid level-up and dealing nexus damage for each card discarded.

  • Voidborne Carapace icon

Retains the 'Deathless' keyword when Jinx dies, allowing her to infinitely revive.

  • Price of Retribution icon

Grants Jinx deathless, allowing her to revive upon death. Guardian Angel is a more accessible option, but also grants Health, making it harder to execute this strategy of killing your own Jinx.

Strategy

This strategy focuses on killing and reviving Jinx over and over, using her Pow Pows on herself, rather than the enemy.

With Deathless and Voidborne, Jinx comes back to life and triggers Payload every time she dies. For each 1 mana, you can kill her with another Pow Pow, retriggering Payload again. And again. Until the enemy Nexus explodes.

FTK Burst
  • The Loose Cannon's Payload icon

Instantly empties the hand upon summon, enabling a rapid level-up dealing nexus damage for each card discarded.

  • The Scourge's Stash icon

Jinx can easily ping the enemy nexus, so this cost reduction enables rapid deployment of Jinx.

  • Price of Retribution icon

Grants Jinx deathless, allowing her to revive upon death.

Strategy

A faster build than the previous one, but with less staying power over the course of a longer game. If you have her c4, you will always be able to play Jinx on turn 1, triggering a massive burst of nexus damage while leveling her up. On turn 2, you can often kill her with a pow pow and play another rocket. By this point, hopefully you have won the game.

Other Relic Options
  • Luden's Tempest icon

Directly amplifies the damage of all generated Pow-Pows and Super Mega Death Rockets.

  • Searing Brilliance icon

Can make Pow-Pow cost 0 and draw a card, enabling rapid hand cycling and continuous discard triggers.

  • Guardian Angel icon

A substitute for Price of Retribution, and grants extra revives, which can come in handy. However, the extra health can often be a detriment.

Jinx's reliance on The Loose Cannon's Payload dictates most of her relic choices, prioritizing cost reduction, spell damage amplification, or revival mechanics to maximize its impact.

Constellation

Jinx is universally recognized as one of the strongest and most accessible champions in the game. Her constellation tree provides massive power spikes early on, making her a premier choice for newer accounts and a reliable carry for difficult content.

Gaining Sorcery allows Jinx to immediately cast her generated Pow-Pows upon deployment, significantly improving her Turn 1 consistency and reducing the need for mana-refill relics.

Get Jinxed! doubles spell and skill damage. This upgrade is critical for overcoming high-health enemy nexuses.

Gameplay Tips
  • Turn 1 Plunder

Utilize Jinx's starting deck and powers to consistently trigger Plunder on Turn 1. This allows for immediate deployment if equipped with cost-reduction relics like Packed Powder or The Scourge's Stash.

  • Beware of Tough

Jinx struggles significantly against enemies with the Tough keyword or a Tough Nexus, as it heavily mitigates her 1-damage pings. Prioritize drafting powers that increase spell damage or bypass Tough entirely.

  • The Perfection Synergy

The Epic power "Perfection," which raises all damage dealt to a minimum of 4, is exceptionally powerful on Jinx. It transforms her small pings into massive bursts of damage and should be drafted whenever offered.

  • Created Card Counters

Avoid weekly adventures or mutators that increase the cost of created cards. These modifiers completely neutralize her ability to play Pow-Pows and Super Mega Death Rockets, shutting down her primary win condition.

  • I Am Inevitable Anti-Synergy

Avoid the "I Am Inevitable" mutator (often found in the Lissandra adventure), which grants enemy units +2|+2 and Tough when they survive damage. Jinx's random 1-damage pings will rapidly buff the enemy board out of control.
