Kai'Sa is widely considered the strongest Shurima champion, particularly at higher constellation levels. While solid at 3 stars, her 5-star and 6-star upgrades transform her into an unstoppable force capable of Turn 1 or 2 victories.
Void Evolution
Essential for C6. Provides Challenger, Overwhelm, and Tough, which are immediately shared with your units via the 6-star power.
Grants Scout. When combined with C6, you can grant Scout to any unit on the board for explosive multi-attack turns. The recall drawback is mitigated by winning on the turn she is played.
A direct upgrade to Dreams of Yordles. Provides Spirit, Impact, and Evolve. Combined with the above relics, this grants a massive suite of keywords to spread to your board.
Strategy
This build leverages the 6-star power, which generates a 0-cost 'Second Skin' every round. This spell grants the target all of Kai'Sa's keywords. By loading Kai'Sa with keyword-dense relics like Full Build and Galeforce, you can turn any cheap unit into a Scout/Challenger/Overwhelm/Double-Stat monster on Turn 1.
Skill Blaster
Doubles the damage of Icathian Rain (her skill) and Void Seeker, making her board clear significantly more lethal.
Grants Overwhelm to the whole board and +1/+1, helping push lethal damage alongside her skill pings.
Generates new keywords every round to accelerate Evolve and boost the damage of Icathian Rain (which scales with keyword count).
Strategy
Ideal for pre-C6 or players who prefer a playstyle focused on Kai'Sa's skill damage rather than board buffs. Focus on generating unique keywords to scale the number of shots from Icathian Rain.
Budget Evolve
- The best Rare relic for Kai'Sa, amplifying her removal and board clear.
Grants Challenger to all allies, providing a useful keyword for Evolve and board control.
Provides Spellshield, a valuable keyword for protection and Evolve progress.
Strategy
A setup using only common and rare relics. The goal is to accumulate different keywords from relics to trigger Evolve as quickly as possible while using Luden's to control the board.
Other Relic Options
A solid alternative to Queen's Embrace if you do not have the latter. Grants Spirit and Impact.
Excellent for ramping mana if you have Luminous Orb to activate it, allowing for earlier Kai'Sa drops.
Provides Fated, Augment, and other keywords when empowered. Strong, but Fated/Augment are considered weaker keywords for sharing compared to Scout or Double Attack.
A reliable defensive option that also contributes the Spellshield keyword for Evolve.
Avoid 'Voidborne Carapace' despite the thematic fit; creating 'Formidable' on Kai'Sa can accidentally ruin a run. 'Corrupted Star Fragment' is generally considered suboptimal compared to relics that grant keywords directly.
Constellation
Kai'Sa has one of the strongest constellation paths in the game. Her C5 is unique and highly impactful, and her C6 completely redefines her playstyle into a keyword-sharing powerhouse.

Voidtouched II
+2 Starting Mana. Allies with 3+ positive keywords have +2|+2, and allies with 6+ positive keywords have +4|+4.Review
Replaces her 2-star power. Instead of the standard Manaflow, she gets +2 Starting Mana and a buff for having 6+ keywords. This is a massive tempo accelerator.
Wield The Abyss
Round Start: Create a Second Skin in hand. When you target an ally with Second Skin, give it Kai'Sa's keywords this round.Review
Game-changing. Generates a 0-cost 'Second Skin' every round that grants Kai'Sa's keywords to an ally. This allows you to transfer relic keywords (like Scout from Galeforce) to any unit, enabling Turn 1 wins.
Gameplay Tips
Draft for Keywords
Kai'Sa's power scales directly with the number of unique keywords you have. Prioritize items and units that grant keywords you don't already possess (e.g., Lifesteal, Double Attack, Elusive).
The C6 Interaction
At 6 stars, Kai'Sa's 'Second Skin' grants her keywords to the target. This applies even keywords from her relics. If she has Galeforce equipped, you can cast Second Skin on a cheap follower to give them Scout, allowing for massive attacks before Kai'Sa even enters the board.
Managing Board Space
Kai'Sa decks can go wide quickly. Be careful not to fill your board with weak units if you plan to play Kai'Sa, as you need space for her to land and trigger her on-play effects.
Avoid Formidable
Be cautious with relics or powers that grant random keywords or copy them (like Voidborne Carapace). Rolling 'Formidable' on Kai'Sa is often detrimental as she relies on her high Attack stat for striking and skill damage.
