Rare Relics OK
Low Investment
Lux is widely considered the premier Demacian champion, offering a potent mix of board control, unit generation, and direct nexus damage. While she requires careful mana management to reach her power spike, her ability to generate 'infinite' rallies and removal spells makes her a top-tier choice for most content.
Incandescent Duplication
Provides a crucial starting mana gem and draws a champion, significantly accelerating Lux's curve. Although designed for Lux Illuminated, it is Best-in-Slot for original Lux.
The engine of the build. Once you reach 6 mana, every spell cast is doubled, generating twice the Final Sparks and Rally effects for an almost guaranteed win.
Refills spell mana upon summoning Lux, often allowing for an immediate level-up or spell chain on the turn she is played.
Strategy
This build maximizes speed and consistency. The extra mana from the Baton and the refill from Hidden Tome allow you to stabilize early and activate Chemtech Duplicator as early as Turn 2 or 3. Once active, prioritize casting spells to flood the board with lasers and attacks.
Starforged Control
Grants an additional starting mana gem if you have a Titanic unit (enabled by Luminous Orb), smoothing out the early game.
Required to activate the secondary effect of Starforged Gauntlets by boosting Lux's health, while also making her a formidable blocker.
Essential for duplicating 6-cost spells and Final Sparks to close out the game.
Strategy
A robust alternative for players lacking Lux's Incandescent Baton. This setup ensures you start with extra mana to play your 3-cost ramp spells or Lux herself earlier. The strategy remains the same: survive until 6 mana, then dominate with duplicated spells.
Rare Relic Spellspam
The most critical relic for Lux. Even without Epic mana relics, this provides the necessary late-game power to clear boards and rally repeatedly.
Ensures you have spell mana available every round to cast your high-cost spells and generate Final Sparks.
Generates a 6-cost spell (Falling Comet) every round. Casting this triggers Lux's level-up progress and generates a Final Spark, creating a self-sustaining loop.
Strategy
This accessible build focuses on stalling until mana 6. Use Archangel's Staff to bank mana for your big spells. Arcane Comet provides consistent removal and fuel for Lux's passive, ensuring you always have a spell to trigger her abilities.
Other Relic Options
A thematic option that summons Garen and Galio. While fun and capable of creating 'infinite' rally chains if the board state aligns, it is generally less consistent than mana-focused relics.
Can be used to discount Lux's cost for a Turn 1 play if you trigger Plunder (enabled easily by her 4-star power).
Generates a fleeting copy of Lux each round, which turns into her champion spell (Lux's Prismatic Barrier). Useful for protection and triggering her passive.
Constellation
Lux is a complete champion at 3 stars, with a kit that naturally scales into late-game power. Her constellation upgrades primarily focus on speed and quality of life, addressing her main weakness: a slow start.

Lighting the Way
Each round, the first time you spend mana to play a spell, refill spell mana up to its cost.
Pushing my Limits
+1 Starting Mana. When you play 6+ mana of spells, create a 0 cost Golden Aegis in hand.
Lighting the Way II
Each round, the first time you spend mana to play a spell, refill mana equal to its cost.
Spell Burn
When you play a spell, deal 1 to the enemy Nexus.Review
Deals 1 damage to the enemy Nexus whenever you play a spell. While not a primary win condition, this enables Plunder effects for relics like Packed Powder and adds chip damage that accumulates during rally chains.
Manaflow
Game Start: Get a mana gem.Review
Grants an additional starting Mana Gem. This is a massive upgrade, allowing Lux to curve out perfectly and reach the Chemtech Duplicator threshold of 6 mana much faster.
Eternal Radiance
When allies attack, create a Final Spark in hand. Your damaging spells and Skills deal 1 extra damage for each 6 mana you've spent on spells this game.Review
Upgrades Final Spark to Burst speed and grants damage scaling based on mana spent. This is a transformative upgrade, allowing you to clear the enemy board or push lethal damage instantly without passing priority to the opponent. It drastically reduces game time and prevents the AI from reacting.
Gameplay Tips
Mana Management is Key
Lux is a "mana addict." Your primary goal in the early game is to ramp up to 6 mana gems. Aggressively mulligan for her 3-cost spell, Succession, which summons a unit and grants an empty mana gem. Avoid cutting cards that generate mana.
Chemtech Duplicator Synergy
Once you reach 6 mana, Chemtech Duplicator copies every spell you play. A single 3-cost spell played with spell mana can trigger Lux's passive multiple times if duplicated, generating multiple Final Sparks. Be mindful of your hand size; generating too many Sparks can burn your next draw.
Beware of Mana Tax
Lux struggles significantly in adventures with "Mana Tax" mutators (like the Lissandra adventure), as they disrupt her ability to cast the 6-cost spells required to generate Final Sparks. Avoid bringing her into these encounters unless you have a specific plan to mitigate costs.
Strategic Rallying
Lux generates Golden Aegis (Barrier + Rally) frequently. Do not mindlessly cast this if you already have the attack token, unless you need the Barrier for survival or to trigger a level-up. Wasting rallies can leave you without an attack step when you actually have a board ready to strike.
Support Champion Selection
Look for support champions that offer spell mana refill (like Nami or generic mages) or high-cost spells that can be cheated out. Avoid champions that clog the board with small units, as Lux needs space for her own units and optimal play.
