Lux: Illuminated is a high-power, board-centric champion capable of explosive one-turn kills (OTK). While her base kit at lower star levels can feel slow and vulnerable to disruption, she scales tremendously with investment. Her signature relic, Lux's Incandescent Baton, transforms her consistency, and her higher constellation powers (C5/C6) unlock a playstyle that feels like cheating with mana. Some players find her linear 'buff and rally' gameplay less engaging than the original Lux's spell-slinging, but her effectiveness is undeniable.
Luminous OTK (Best in Slot)
Essential for providing +1 Starting Mana (if not C5) and ensuring Lux can be played early to establish the support chain. The stats and barrier it grants are vital for survival.
The core of her OTK strategy. Leveling up on attack grants a Rally, allowing her to utilize her buffs and Spirit stacks immediately for a second, often lethal, swing.
Synergizes perfectly with her Spirit keyword application. It accelerates stat growth significantly, ensuring units grow large enough to overwhelm blockers.
Strategy
This build focuses on establishing a board of Lux, a Luminosprite, and a third unit. Chain their support abilities (Lux supports Sprite, Sprite supports Unit) to stack Spirit and Impact. Upon attacking, Lux levels up, Crownguard rallies, and the second attack with doubled stats usually ends the game.
Chemtech Laser Spam
- Provides the necessary mana ramp to reach the 6-mana threshold for Chemtech Duplicator faster.
Once Lux reaches 6 mana, this doubles all spells. This allows for infinite value generation, double rallies from Golden Aegis, and massive board buffs.
Provides spell mana and extra copies of spells, smoothing out the curve and ensuring you have fodder to trigger Chemtech duplication.
Strategy
A more spell-focused approach closer to the original Lux playstyle. Use the mana ramp to drop Lux and stall until 6 mana. Once online, duplicate Golden Aegis and buff spells to create an unstoppable board while generating Final Sparks.
Found Fortune Tempo
Draws and buffs a card upon leveling up. If you prune your deck to have only Luminosprite as a 2-cost unit, this guarantees drawing your key support unit.- Provides the Rally necessary to utilize the buffed unit immediately.
Grants Elusive to the supported ally. This bypasses blockers entirely, which is crucial if you lack the Overwhelm from her 4-star power.
Strategy
This build maximizes consistency by manipulating the deck to guarantee drawing Luminosprite via Found Fortune. It relies on Elusive rather than brute force to push lethal damage.
Budget Rally
- The single most impactful Rare relic for Lux: Illuminated, enabling her double-attack win condition.
- Essential for pushing damage without Overwhelm, granting Elusive to your main carry unit.
Generates Redoubled Valor on summon. Since Lux is cheap, this can be used to double a unit's stats before the rally turn.
Strategy
A functional build using only Rare relics. It mimics the OTK strategy of the optimal builds by using Elusive to bypass defenses and Crownguard to attack twice.
Other Relic Options
A viable alternative to Lux's Incandescent Baton for starting mana if you have Luminous Orb to activate it, though it consumes two slots.
Can generate beneficial keywords like Spellshield or Lifesteal, helping with survivability in tougher adventures.
Grants Overwhelm to the whole board. Highly valuable if you have not yet unlocked her 4-star power which grants Overwhelm natively.

Constellation
Lux: Illuminated is extremely investment-heavy. At low stars (C3 and below), she can feel sluggish and vulnerable to early aggression. Her true power unlocks at C5 (Manaflow) and C6, where she transforms into a powerhouse capable of ending games on Turn 1 or 2.

Manaflow (+1 Starting Mana). This is the tipping point for the champion. It allows her to deploy Lux and a support unit immediately, accelerating her win condition by a full turn. It effectively replaces the need for Starforged Gauntlets.
