Sett is a highly rewarding combo champion who transforms from a calculated control deck into an unstoppable engine of destruction once his mana threshold is met. While he requires significant investment—specifically Starforged Gauntlets and high constellation levels—to overcome a slow early game, his ceiling at 6 stars is among the highest in the region.
Titanic Mana Ramp
  • Starforged Gauntlets icon
Essential for accelerating Sett's game plan. The extra starting mana allows you to reach the critical 6-mana threshold a turn earlier.
  • Luminous Orb icon
Required to trigger Starforged Gauntlets. Sett's base stats are not high enough to be Titanic; this relic pushes his health to 8+, activating the mana ramp.
  • Chemtech Duplicator icon
The engine of the deck. Once you hit 6 mana, this doubles every coin and spell, creating near-infinite mana loops, board-wide stuns via Facebreaker, and massive rallies.

Strategy

This build addresses Sett's primary weakness: his slow start. By starting with extra mana, you reach the 'Chemtech breakpoint' (6 mana gems) quickly. Once active, prioritize duplicating coin spells to refresh your mana completely, allowing you to chain Showstoppers and rallies until the enemy board is obliterated.
The Infinite Boss
  • Galeforce icon
Allows Sett to attack twice (Scout) and then recall himself at round end. This protects him and allows you to replay him to trigger on-summon effects again.
  • Portal Pals icon
Synergizes perfectly with replaying Sett. Each time you drop him, you generate high-cost units from regions like Ionia or Targon, often with cost reductions.
  • Champion's Purse icon
Sett's signature relic. It provides funds to replay him easily and accelerates your mana curve via combat kills.

Strategy

This build is most effective at 6 stars, where Sett's cost is mitigated or refunded. The goal is to abuse summon effects. Attack to generate coins and board pressure, let Galeforce recall him, and replay him to flood your hand with discounted high-power units from Portal Pals.
Control & Stun
  • Chemtech Duplicator icon
Doubles all spells after reaching 6 mana. This is the single most important effect for Sett's win condition.
  • The Grand General's Counterplan icon
Creates a fleeting Facebreaker in hand every round. When doubled by Chemtech, this provides two stuns, card draw, and coin generation every turn.
  • Archangel's Staff icon
Ensures you have spell mana to cast your generated Facebreakers and coin spells immediately upon reaching the 6-mana threshold.

Strategy

A viable setup for players without Epic relics. Focus on stalling the board using stuns and removal until you reach 6 mana. Once there, the combination of GGC and Chemtech allows you to lock down the entire enemy board with continuous stuns while generating the coins needed to scale Sett.
Other Relic Options
  • Frozen Tomb icon
Excellent for ensuring a Sett is on board if he is killed or if you want to duplicate him. Less necessary at 6 stars where he has built-in recursion.
  • Hidden Tome icon
A strong alternative for mana ramp and spell looping if you lack Starforged Gauntlets.
  • Loaded Dice icon
Useful for fishing for specific powers or cards to support the coin combo archetype.
Constellation
Sett is functional at 3 stars but feels sluggish compared to other top-tier champions. His constellation upgrades are transformative, specifically the 5-star mana gem and the 6-star ability, which solves his consistency and removal issues entirely.

Upgrades a unit to 'The Pit Professional', improving coin generation consistency. A solid quality-of-life upgrade.

Game Start: Get a mana gem.
    Review
Manaflow (Start with +1 Mana Gem). This is a critical breakpoint for Sett, allowing him to activate Chemtech Duplicator and his infinite combos one turn earlier.
  • Icon for Hired Muscle

    Hired Muscle

When you play a Coin with 5+ stacks, summon Sett. If you already have a Sett, create a Show Stopper in hand instead.
    Review
Grants a free Sett summon or a 0-cost 'Showstopper' spell when you play coins. This turns Sett into an 'Obliteration Nuke', removing the need to draw him and providing immense board control.
Gameplay Tips
Master the Chemtech Breakpoint
Your entire game plan revolves around reaching 6 mana gems. Until you hit this point, play conservatively. Once you have 6 mana, Chemtech Duplicator activates, duplicating all spells. This effectively quadruples your coin output (since coins are spells) and allows for infinite mana turns.
Manual Mana Tracking
Sett's star powers trigger based on mana spent (specifically 6+ mana). The game UI does not always clearly track this progress mid-turn. You must mentally track how much mana you have spent to ensure you don't waste a Coin or a spell before triggering his Rally or Stat boost.
Coin Management
Coins refill your mana but cannot exceed your maximum mana gems. Do not play a large stack of coins if your mana is already nearly full. Spend your mana on cards first, then use coins to refill and continue your turn.
Champion's Purse Mechanics
If using Champion's Purse, remember that it only generates coins on combat kills. Skill kills or strike spells outside of combat will not trigger the coin generation, making it situational compared to passive mana generation.
