Excellent (8/10)
High Investment Required
Sett is a highly potent combo-control champion who rewards careful mana management and precise sequencing. His ability to scale into the late game is virtually unmatched, though his early game can be vulnerable. Players disagree about his signature relic, Champion's Purse. Some consider its coin generation valuable for specific aggressive combos, while others find its strict 'in-combat' requirement too limiting compared to standard mana acceleration.
Titanic Ramp
  • Starforged Gauntlets icon
Provides an essential starting mana gem, accelerating Sett's game plan.
  • Luminous Orb icon
Grants the necessary health to push Sett into the Titanic threshold, activating Starforged Gauntlets.
  • Chemtech Duplicator icon
The absolute core of Sett's strategy. Doubles all spells and coin generation once six mana is reached.

Strategy

This is the definitive optimal build for Sett. The combination of Starforged Gauntlets and Luminous Orb ensures Sett starts with an extra mana gem, significantly reducing the time it takes to reach the critical six-mana threshold. Once at six mana, Chemtech Duplicator comes online, doubling every coin played and every Showstopper cast, resulting in overwhelming board control and infinite rally potential.
Portal Spam
  • Champion's Purse icon
Generates coins upon combat kills, fueling repeated summons.
  • Portal Pals icon
Creates discounted, high-value Ionian units every time Sett is summoned.
  • Galeforce icon
Provides Scout for extra attacks and recalls Sett at round end to be summoned again.

Strategy

This build capitalizes on Sett's 6-star constellation power. Galeforce allows Sett to attack twice via Scout, generating up to four coins through Champion's Purse if he secures kills. At the end of the round, Galeforce recalls him. On the following turn, the generated coins can be used to instantly resummon Sett, triggering Portal Pals repeatedly to flood the board with massive, discounted units.
Infinite Brawler

Strategy

A highly effective build utilizing only rare relics. The goal is to stall the game until reaching six mana. Once there, The Grand General's Counterplan provides a steady stream of Sett's champion spell. Archangel's Staff guarantees the mana to cast it, and Chemtech Duplicator doubles the spell, resulting in two stuns and double the coin generation, allowing Sett to lock down the enemy board completely.
Other Relic Options
  • Echoing Spirit icon
Fills the deck with Sett copies, ensuring consistent access to his champion spell for continuous stuns and coin generation.
  • Frozen Tomb icon
Useful at lower constellation levels to guarantee Sett hits the board and to potentially duplicate him, though it becomes redundant at higher star levels.
  • The Beast Within icon
Often considered a trap on Sett. While Overwhelm is generally strong, Sett's inherent ability to generate multiple rallies and massive stats makes Overwhelm unnecessary for closing out games.
Sett's relic flexibility is somewhat low, as Chemtech Duplicator is universally considered mandatory for his core gameplay loop. Relics that provide Overwhelm or combat stats are generally less effective than relics that accelerate his mana or duplicate his spells.
Constellation
Sett's constellation upgrades are transformative, shifting him from a slow, vulnerable combo piece into an unstoppable late-game engine. He requires significant investment to reach his full potential, as his early game remains his primary weakness until his higher-tier stars are unlocked.

This is a critical power spike. The extra mana gem directly accelerates the activation of Chemtech Duplicator. Additionally, upgrading coin generation to Burst speed allows for devastating combat tricks and uninterruptible mana recovery.

    Review
Transforms Sett into an immediate, game-ending threat. The ability to summon him directly via coins bypasses his high mana cost, and generating the Showstopper obliterate card provides unparalleled board control and direct Nexus damage.
Gameplay Tips
  • The Six Mana Threshold
Sett's entire game plan revolves around reaching six maximum mana. Prioritize survival and mana acceleration in the early rounds, as activating Chemtech Duplicator will immediately stabilize the board through duplicated coin generation and stuns.
  • Optimizing Coin Usage
Coins resolve at Slow speed unless upgraded via constellation powers. Avoid spending them simply to float mana; instead, hoard them to trigger Sett's level-up condition or his passive stat-scaling ability in a single, explosive turn.
  • Showstopper Sequencing
When Chemtech Duplicator is active, playing five coins generates two Showstopper spells. Because the relic doubles these spells, you effectively cast four obliterates, clearing the enemy board and dealing massive Nexus damage.
  • Bypassing Spellshield
Duplicated spells from Chemtech Duplicator are excellent for handling enemies with Spellshield. The first instance of the spell pops the shield, guaranteeing the copied spell resolves successfully and stuns the target.
  • Managing Hand Size
Sett's coin generation and card draw can quickly fill your hand. Be mindful of overdrawing, especially when using relics like The Grand General's Counterplan, to ensure you do not obliterate key combo pieces.
