Excellent (9/10)
High Investment Required
Epic Relics
Spirit Blossom Kindred is widely considered one of the strongest and most cohesive champions in the Spirit Blossom roster. While she requires significant investment—specifically her 4th and 6th star powers—to reach her full 'broken' potential, her ability to render units immortal and trivialize high-health encounters like Baron Nashor makes her a top-tier powerhouse.
The Infinite Hunt
  • Echoing Spirit icon
Essential for consistency. It fills your deck with copies of Kindred, ensuring you draw her early, and drastically reduces the cost of her Champion Spell, allowing for infinite removal chains.
  • The Beast Within icon
Mandatory for Overwhelm. Kindred can generate massive damage, but without Overwhelm, she gets stalled by chump blockers. This ensures all that damage connects with the Nexus.
  • The Grand General's Counterplan icon
Generates a fleeting copy of Spirit Blossom Kindred in hand every round. Combined with Echoing Spirit, this provides a constant stream of removal and board control.

Strategy

This build maximizes the synergy between Kindred's cost-reduction mechanics and her champion spell. By constantly generating and casting 'Dance of Arrows', you can clear the enemy board while stacking damage. The Beast Within ensures that your high-stat units finish the game quickly.
Chemtech Ascension
  • Chemtech Duplicator icon
Doubles all spells once you hit 6 mana. This duplicates 'The Beast's Frenzy' and 'Dance of Arrows', leading to exponential board presence and removal.
  • Frozen Tomb icon
Summons a Frozen Tomb that releases Kindred after 2 rounds. This helps stall the game and ensures you have a backup champion if the first is removed.
  • Archangel's Staff icon
Refills spell mana every round, ensuring you always have resources to cast your duplicated spells once Chemtech comes online.

Strategy

A slower, control-oriented playstyle. Use your removal and stalling tools to reach 6 mana. Once Chemtech Duplicator activates, your spell output doubles, allowing you to wipe the enemy board and summon multiple Beasts in a single turn.
Rare Hunter
  • Troll King's Crown icon
A budget alternative to The Beast Within. Grants Overwhelm to all allies, which is critical for pushing lethal damage.
  • Stalker's Blade icon
Strikes an enemy upon summon. Since Kindred's level-up counts as a summon (re-summoning her as a new unit), this triggers multiple times, applying marks and removing threats.
  • Ravenous Hydra icon
Deals damage to all enemies on summon. This immediately marks the entire enemy board, synergizing perfectly with her level-up condition and removal spells.

Strategy

This build utilizes accessible Rare relics to mimic the functionality of the optimal build. Ravenous Hydra sets up your marks, Stalker's Blade removes key threats, and Troll King's Crown ensures you can close out the game.
Other Relic Options
  • The Taker's Bow icon
Her signature relic. While it allows for interesting plays by keeping ephemeral units alive during combat, it is often considered inconsistent compared to the Echoing Spirit setup because ephemerals still die at round end.
  • Spectral Scissors icon
Synergizes with The Taker's Bow to create a loop of unit generation and attacks, though it requires specific setup.
  • Black Shield icon
Vital against decks with heavy control. Kindred is 'immortal' to damage but vulnerable to Silence, Recall, and Obliterate; this relic covers those weaknesses.
Constellation
Spirit Blossom Kindred is a high-investment champion. At low star levels, she can feel slow and clunky. However, her high-tier upgrades transform her into an unstoppable force capable of trivializing even the hardest content.

    Mark of the Kindred I

Round Start: Mark a random enemy. When an ally dies, create a Beast's Frenzy in hand or, if you have one, reduce its cost by 1.
  • Icon for Mounting Dread

    Mounting Dread

+1 Starting Mana. When a marked enemy dies, grant Ephemeral and champion allies everywhere +1|+0.
  • Icon for Mark of the Kindred II

    Mark of the Kindred II

Round Start: Mark a random enemy. When ANY unit dies, create a Beast's Frenzy in hand or, if you have one, reduce its cost by 1.
  • Icon for Overkill

    Overkill

When one of your units or spells deals excess damage to an enemy, deal that much to another random backrow enemy.
    Review
A massive power spike. Doubling the damage of all spells and skills turns her removal into hard board wipes, allowing her to clear swarms and high-health targets with ease.
  • Icon for Manaflow

    Manaflow

Game Start: Get a mana gem.
  • Icon for Death's Approach

    Death's Approach

Round End: Reduce marked enemies' Health to 1.
    Review
The pinnacle of her power. Setting marked enemies' health to 1 at round end essentially guarantees their death on the following turn. This power makes her the premier counter to high-stat adventures like Baron Nashor.
Gameplay Tips
Leverage Immortality
Spirit Blossom Kindred's units (and she herself in certain forms) often have 'cannot take damage or die' effects. The AI handles this poorly, often wasting attacks or refusing to block. Use this to take favorable trades that would otherwise be suicidal.
The Wild Inspiration Synergy
If you have unlocked the Rune slot in her constellation, equip the 'Wild Inspiration' rune. Combined with Echoing Spirit, this reduces the cost of her created Champion Spells significantly, enabling a 'machine gun' playstyle where you can wipe the board as early as Turn 2.
Mark Management
Kindred needs to see marks to level up. Be careful not to kill units with raw spell damage before they are marked. Relics like Ravenous Hydra apply marks before damage, making them excellent for setting up level-ups.
Beware of Hard Removal
While Kindred is immune to damage and death in many scenarios, she is not immune to Silence, Recall, or Obliterate. Against champions like Aurelion Sol, prioritize SpellShield (Black Shield) or have a backup plan to replay her.
