High Investment Required
Epic Relics
Rare Relics OK
Spirit Blossom Kindred is widely regarded as a highly resilient and powerful control champion. Her unique invulnerability mechanics offer a distinct playstyle that excels in difficult encounters, though she requires significant constellation investment and specific Epic relics to reach her maximum potential.
Optimal Spell Control
Zoe Specialized
Discounts Kindred's champion spell and creates copies of herself, allowing Wild Inspiration to discount her cost for a turn 1 play.
Provides a steady stream of champion spells to consistently mark and clear enemy units.
Grants Overwhelm and bonus stats to her units, which is essential for converting her massive accumulated power into Nexus damage.- Wild InspirationRuneReduces the cost of created cards. With Echoing Spirit, both Kindred and her champion spell count as created cards.
Strategy
This build maximizes Spirit Blossom Kindred's spell-slinging capabilities. The primary goal is to establish early board presence and utilize the constant generation of discounted champion spells to control the enemy board.
Echoing Spirit and The Grand General's Counterplan provide infinite value, ensuring you always have access to Kindred's Mark. The Beast Within is mandatory, as it ensures that your scaled units can push lethal damage through blockers to close out the game.
Shark Duplicator
Does AOE damage, marking enemies. This is especially effective with Kindred's C7 nova power star.
Summons a free shark chariot which attacks every time any ephemeral attacks.
Grants Overwhelm, preventing her units from simply being blocked.- Complete The CycleRuneWhen a champion or ephemeral ally kills an enemy, refill your spell mana.
Strategy
This build uses Hecarim's Glaive to summon a free shark chariot, which has strong synergies with the rest of Kindred's kit. The shark attacks any time an ephemeral attacks, and receives boosted power from Kindred's c2 power. Duplicating the shark can add a lot of damage, as every beast attack resummons all your sharks. Summoning additional ephemeral copies of Kindred is even better, as it revives all your sharks when Kindred attacks too.
Early Board Clear
Zoe Specialized
Eliminates units with 3 or less health when Kindred is played. In the Zoe adventure, this is used to clear the backrow of poros.
Collects keywords from the numerous units destroyed by Wicked Harvest and her spells.
Supplies the mandatory Overwhelm keyword to ensure damage connects with the enemy Nexus.
Strategy
Designed to establish immediate dominance, this build leverages Wicked Harvest to clear low-health enemy units the moment Spirit Blossom Kindred is played. This secures early tempo and feeds Voidborne Carapace.
The Beast Within is crucial for closing out the game once board control is established. If The Beast Within is unavailable, Troll King's Crown serves as an effective substitute for the Overwhelm keyword.
Chemtech Duplicator Combo
Zoe Specialized
Once active at 6 mana, this relic duplicates her spells. Most notably her Beast spell summons two Beasts.
Provides a second copy of the champion for accelerated marking and board presence.
Provides the necessary Overwhelm to ensure the duplicated, high-stat units can strike the enemy Nexus.- Complete The CycleRuneWhen a champion or ephemeral ally kills an enemy, refill your spell mana.
Strategy
Geared towards slower, control-oriented encounters. The strategy involves stalling the game until you reach 6 mana.
Once Chemtech Duplicator is active, casting spells will duplicate them, leading to massive board presence and rapid cost reduction. Note that duplicated summons can occasionally fizzle if Kindred levels up mid-resolution.
Other Relic Options
Players disagree about The Taker's Bow. Some consider it essential for maintaining board presence while others find it inconsistent, noting severe anti-synergies with Corrupted Star Fragment (which consumes the unit before the invulnerability applies) and Chemtech Duplicator.
Does AOE damage, marking enemies. This is especially effective with Kindred's C7 nova power star.
Constellation
Spirit Blossom Kindred possesses a highly synergistic constellation tree that significantly alters her power level. Her unique invulnerability mechanics provide unparalleled resilience, but she requires specific upgrades to accelerate her win condition and overcome her inherent lack of Overwhelm.

Gameplay Tips
- Exploit AI Targeting
The AI frequently miscalculates Spirit Blossom Kindred's invulnerability, wasting removal spells and making unfavorable attacks against her. Use this to your advantage to stall the game and build your board.
- Avoid the Sweet Trap Node
Do not path into the 'Sweet Trap' adventure node. Kindred's champion spell counts as a 'Challenge,' which inadvertently triggers the trap's negative effects. If forced into this encounter, target a spellshield unit to spawn the attacking wolf without triggering the challenge penalty.
- Leverage Ephemeral Synergies
Spirit Blossom Kindred's undying nature means that ephemeral copies of her (generated by powers like 'Shadow Totem' or spells) do not die at round end. This allows you to build a permanent board of multiple champions.
- Separate Champion Marks
Be aware that Spirit Blossom Kindred and the standard Kindred champion do not share marks. Their mechanics operate entirely independently.
