Epic Relics
Players disagree about Taliyah's overall effectiveness and playstyle. Some consider her a clutch powerhouse capable of massive skill damage, while others find her landmark-heavy mechanics clunky and frustrating due to severe board space limitations.
The Stoneweaver Printer
  • Frozen Tomb icon
Game Start: If I'm in deck or in hand, summon a Stormcarved Spire with Countdown 4: Summon me.
  • Luden's Tempest icon
All your spells and skills deal 1 extra damage.
  • Luden's Tempest icon
All your spells and skills deal 1 extra damage.

Strategy

This build maximizes Taliyah's skill damage output. Frozen Tomb guarantees an allied landmark on the board.
When Taliyah is played, her ability summons an exact copy of an allied landmark, allowing you to duplicate the Frozen Tomb. This results in one Taliyah and two Frozen Tombs that will each summon copies of Taliyah, ultimately resulting in three Taliyahs on the board. The double Luden's Tempest massively amplifies the damage of their overlapping Threaded Volley skills.
Titanic Ramp
Zoe Specialized
  • Starforged Gauntlets icon
Power: If I'm in deck or in hand and Titanic, +1 Starting Mana. You can find Level 2 Champions when you Invoke or Manifest.
  • Luminous Orb icon
    +0|+3 and Sharpsight.
  • Frozen Tomb icon
Game Start: If I'm in deck or in hand, summon a Stormcarved Spire with Countdown 4: Summon me.

Strategy

Luminous Orb pushes Taliyah's stats to the Titanic threshold, activating Starforged Gauntlets for an extra starting mana gem. Taliyah costs 5 mana so with that build you start with 4 mana. Do not say you can play Taliyah on the first turn because that is factually incorrect.
Instead, use this ramp to accelerate her deployment. In the 10-star Zoe adventure, use Desert Naturalist early to destroy Turret Plating, then deploy Taliyah to duplicate Frozen Tomb and dominate the mid-game.
Burst Speed Board Control

Strategy

This build focuses on Taliyah's level-up condition (summoning 5+ landmarks). By timing her level-up, you can trigger a board-wide stun and a Rally simultaneously.
Whisper synergizes perfectly with Tempest Blade, adding massive damage to your skills against the newly stunned enemy board. This allows for a devastating attack while the enemy is incapacitated.
Turn 1 Plunder
  • Frozen Tomb icon
Game Start: If I'm in deck or in hand, summon a Stormcarved Spire with Countdown 4: Summon me.
  • Packed Powder icon
Plunder: I cost 2 less. I have +1|+1 for each different round you've damaged the enemy Nexus.
  • Swain's Raven Army icon
Game Start: Deal 1 to the enemy Nexus for each allied Noxus or Piltover & Zaun card in your starting deck.

Strategy

This build aims to cheat Taliyah out as early as possible. Swain's Raven Army deals damage at Game Start, activating Plunder for Packed Powder and reducing Taliyah's cost.
Frozen Tomb provides the necessary landmark for her to duplicate upon entering the board, accelerating her level-up and establishing immediate pressure.
Other Relic Options
Icon of Valhir is an excellent alternative to Luden's Tempest for boosting her elemental skill damage, particularly at higher constellation levels. Fear-Cleaving Axe is a high-end option that capitalizes on her ability to rapidly fill the spell stack. Chemtech Duplicator is considered a trap; Taliyah's deck lacks spells worth copying, making it a low-impact choice.
Constellation
Taliyah requires significant investment to reach her full potential. Her early star powers are crucial for her viability, transforming her from a struggling deck into a functional stat-based powerhouse. However, her landmark-heavy playstyle often leads to severe board space issues, which can make her feel clunky compared to other Shuriman champions.

    Throw Another Rock!

When an ally attacks, it plays Threaded Volley. Your spells and skills deal 1 extra damage for each allied Landmark.
    Review
Increases skill damage for every landmark on the board. While it adds significant damage, it creates anti-synergy with her base kit's goal of destroying landmarks and can exacerbate board space issues.
Gameplay Tips
  • Manage Board Space
Landmarks consume valuable board slots and cannot attack or block. Plan your summons carefully to ensure you have enough room for your units, especially when duplicating landmarks like Frozen Tomb.
  • Fill the Spell Stack
During a lethal attack, multiple Taliyahs triggering their Threaded Volley skills can completely fill the 10-slot spell stack. This prevents the AI from playing Fast or Burst spells in response, securing the win without counterplay.
  • Keep Starting Landmarks
Do not cut cheap landmarks like Ancient Preparations from your deck at healer nodes. They are vital for early Predicts, card draw, and triggering her mana refund powers to accelerate her level-up condition.
  • Skill Damage Classification
Taliyah's skill damage counts as combat damage. It will not trigger effects or level-up conditions that specifically require non-combat damage.
  • Summon Priority
Taliyah's star power that summons a Hibernating Rockbear at game start takes precedence over items like Home Turf. The game logic prevents duplicate summons, meaning the item will not trigger if the star power has already placed the unit on the board.
  • Zoe Adventure Utility
Taliyah is a strong counter to the 10-star Zoe adventure because her deck includes Desert Naturalist, which can easily destroy the problematic Durability and Turret Plating landmarks.
