Epic Relics
The Poro King is widely considered a strong and highly enjoyable champion, particularly at 3 stars. He offers a satisfying 'swarm and scale' playstyle that can clear even the most difficult content, including 6.5-star adventures. While his 6-star constellation offers powerful resource generation, its ultimate transformation effect is frequently criticized for being counter-productive or buggy.
Royal Decree (Optimal)
The definitive relic for this champion. It grants Overwhelm, Quick Attack, and Fury to all 1-cost allies (Poros). This provides 3 of the 4 unique keywords required to trigger the Star Power's +2/+2 buff immediately upon summoning a Poro.
The Poro King's signature relic. It drastically reduces his mana cost based on the number of allies, allowing him to be played as early as Turn 2. It also provides regeneration and stat buffs to sustain his board presence.
Provides Spellshield, which counts as the 4th unique keyword needed to trigger the Star Power when combined with Spirit of the Buhru. It also protects The Poro King from removal.
Strategy
This build maximizes consistency and speed. With Spirit of the Buhru and Black Shield, you instantly meet the 4-keyword threshold for your Star Power. Royal Nibbles ensures The Poro King hits the board early to anchor the strategy.
Keyword Soup (Standard)
Essential for granting 3 keywords to all Poros, enabling the Star Power condition and making 1-cost units threatening attackers.
Adds Spellshield for protection and serves as a reliable keyword source for the Star Power trigger.
Grants random keywords each round. This helps accumulate keywords for the Star Power and can roll vital defensive traits like Lifesteal.
Strategy
Ideal for players without the signature relic. This setup ensures your 1-cost Poros are formidable threats immediately. Perfect Hex Core allows for high-rolling powerful keywords like Lifesteal to stabilize in tougher encounters.
Infinite Snacks (Caster)
Duplicates all spells played once you reach 6 mana. This allows you to double-cast Poro Snax for massive board-wide stat growth.
Refills spell mana each round, ensuring you have the resources to cast the generated Poro Snax.
Grants Overwhelm to the entire board, ensuring your massive stats can push damage through chump blockers.
Strategy
A slower, scaling-focused build. Stall the early game until you reach 6 mana, then use Chemtech Duplicator to exponentially grow your board with doubled Poro Snax. This is particularly effective if you have the 6-star power for infinite snack generation.
Other Relic Options
Still a viable option for doubling stats on units currently on the board, though less effective after changes that removed its ability to buff units in the deck/hand.
Useful for rerolling power shops to find 'Evolution' or other high-synergy powers, improving run consistency.
Can be used as a third slot to provide a temporary safety net or to interact with specific 'on summon' mechanics, though generally outclassed by Black Shield.
Constellation
The Poro King is a powerhouse at 3 stars, capable of clearing almost all content. His constellation upgrades improve consistency and resource generation, but his 6-star power is polarizing due to its transformation mechanic.

Stronger Together
Round Start: If allies have 4+ unique keywords, grant allies +1|+1.
For the King!
+1 Starting Mana. Round Start: If an ally died this round, grant your weakest ally +1|+1 and a random keyword that allies don't have.
Stronger Together II
Round Start: If allies have 4+ unique keywords, grant allies +2|+2.Review
The core of his power. Granting +2/+2 to the board every round is exceptional scaling, provided you can meet the 4-keyword condition. This makes him one of the strongest 3-star champions.
Adaptation
When you summon a champion, grant it two random keywords allies don't have.Review
Grants champion keywords to allies. This helps hit the keyword threshold faster and provides useful utility like Lifesteal or Challenger depending on the roll.
Manaflow
Game Start: Get a mana gem.Review
Manaflow (Start with +1 Mana Gem). Crucial for smoothing out his curve, allowing for more units and snacks to be played in the early turns.
Snaxplosion
When you play a poro, create a random Special Snax in hand or reduce its cost by 1 if you already have one. Each game, when you play your tenth Snax, transform all enemies into random poros.Review
Creates a Special Poro Snax when a Poro is summoned and discounts it. This creates an infinite value engine. However, the secondary effect—transforming enemies into Poros after playing 10 snacks—is considered flawed. It does not silence enemies, meaning they keep their stats and buffs, potentially creating dangerous Elusive or Overwhelm units for the opponent.
Gameplay Tips
Master the Keyword Threshold
Your primary goal is to have allies with 4+ unique keywords to trigger the +2/+2 board buff at Round End. Relics like Spirit of the Buhru (which grants 3 keywords to 1-cost units) combined with Black Shield (1 keyword) allow you to hit this threshold instantly upon playing a single Poro.
Swarm Over Tall
The Poro King excels at wide board strategies. Focus on summoning multiple cheap units rather than investing heavily in a single unit. Your Star Power buffs the entire board, so having more bodies maximizes the total stats gained each round.
The C6 Transformation Trap
If you have the 6-star power, be extremely careful when playing your 10th Poro Snax against enemies with high stats or dangerous keywords. The power transforms enemies into Poros but does not silence them, meaning they retain their stats and item buffs. This can accidentally upgrade a manageable enemy into a massive, unstoppable threat.
Drafting Priorities
Prioritize the Evolution power above all else, as it grants massive stats for every keyword your units have. Support champions that generate 1-cost units or have many native keywords (like Zoe or Viktor) are excellent partners. Avoid cutting Poros from your deck, as you need them to fuel your engine.
