Epic Relics
Paid Relics
Thresh requires significant investment to reach his full potential. At lower star levels, he struggles with slow pacing and reliance on specific draws. However, at maximum investment with his signature relic, he transforms into a formidable engine capable of overwhelming the board.
Champion Printer
  • Soul Lantern icon
Pulls powerful champions from the deck directly into combat, granting them Tough and Spellshield.
  • Disciple of Shadows icon
Allows Thresh to be deployed early by sacrificing allies, instantly accelerating his level-up condition.
  • Oath of the Guardians icon
Shuffles level 2 champions into the deck, providing high-value targets for Soul Lantern to summon.

Strategy

This optimal setup leverages Disciple of Shadows to deploy Thresh early, sacrificing units to trigger his level-up condition. Oath of the Guardians shuffles powerful champions into the deck, which are then repeatedly summoned attacking by Soul Lantern, creating an overwhelming board presence.
Infinite Thresh Loop
  • Soul Lantern icon
Summons an ephemeral copy of an allied champion from the deck when attacking.
  • Galeforce icon
Grants Scout, allowing Thresh to attack multiple times per round to trigger Soul Lantern repeatedly.
  • Star Gem icon
Buffs Thresh's stats to ensure he is the strongest champion in the deck, forcing Soul Lantern to pull copies of himself.

Strategy

This build focuses on a one-turn-kill loop. By using Star Gem to ensure Thresh has the highest power in the deck, Soul Lantern will repeatedly pull ephemeral copies of Thresh himself. Galeforce allows multiple attacks per round, flooding the board with attacking Threshes.
Husk Swarm
  • Disciple of Shadows icon
Sacrifices allied units upon play, reducing Thresh's cost and triggering death effects.
  • Succubus's Brand icon
Generates Husks when units are killed, providing additional death triggers and keywords.
  • Portal Pals icon
Generates high-value units from the Shadow Isles pool to follow up the initial board flood.

Strategy

Playing small units followed by Thresh instantly triggers Disciple of Shadows, generating multiple Husks via Succubus's Brand. The deaths of these units rapidly level Thresh and trigger his constellation buffs, while Portal Pals provides big follow-up units to secure the game.
Scaling Warden

Strategy

A highly effective build using only rare relics. Succubus's Brand generates Husks for Thresh to consume with Corrupted Star Fragment, allowing him to consolidate stats and keywords into a single massive unit. Voidborne Carapace ensures he retains all keywords from fallen allies, making him incredibly difficult to remove.
Other Relic Options
  • Echoing Spirit icon
Provides consistency in drawing Thresh, though the extra health granted to allies can sometimes prevent them from dying, which slows down his level-up.
  • Black Shield icon
Offers excellent protection against removal-heavy encounters, as Thresh can continuously regenerate the Spellshield whenever an allied unit dies.
  • Starforged Gauntlets icon
Enables a Turn 2 deployment when combined with his C5 mana upgrade, significantly accelerating his board presence.
Constellation
Thresh's constellation upgrades pivot his playstyle heavily toward champion summoning and stat scaling. Players disagree about Thresh's design. Some consider his ability to flood the board with massive champions highly entertaining. While others find his reliance on raw stat accumulation uninspired compared to more complex mechanics.

    Soul Hunt

Game Start: Summon a Warden's Prey.
    Review
Summons a Warden's Prey. While seemingly low-impact, this provides immediate fodder for Disciple of Shadows and accelerates his level-up condition.
  • Icon for Manaflow

    Manaflow

Game Start: Get a mana gem.
    Review
The additional mana gem is crucial for Thresh's tempo, allowing him to establish his engine a turn earlier.
  • Icon for Dark Passage

    Dark Passage

When an ally dies, grant allied champions everywhere +1|+1.
    Review
Grants a global stat buff whenever an ally dies. This triggers on Husk deaths, allowing for rapid scaling. It heavily incentivizes an Oath of the Guardians strategy to maximize the value of the buffed champions.
Gameplay Tips
  • Maximize the Soul Lantern Loop
To ensure Soul Lantern pulls copies of Thresh, his power must be higher than any other champion in the deck. Avoid drafting support champions with high base power, or use relics like Star Gem to artificially inflate Thresh's stats.
  • Leverage Husk Deaths
Husks generated by Succubus's Brand count as allied deaths. This rapidly accelerates Thresh's level-up condition and triggers his global constellation buffs.
  • Target Favorable Adventures
Thresh excels in the Viego adventure, as his ability to generate Spellshields and scale stats allows him to outlast Viego's removal spells.
  • Manage Board Space
Thresh's ability to summon multiple units can quickly clog the board. Ensure you have a way to sacrifice or trade small units to make room for the powerful champions pulled by his attack effect.
