Twisted Fate is widely considered one of the most enjoyable and potent champions in the game, particularly at high investment levels. While his early levels can feel sluggish and fragile, his constellation upgrades—specifically the Star of Discovery and his 6-star power—transform him into an infinite-value engine capable of Turn 1 victories. He offers a high-skill, 'casino-style' gameplay loop that rewards planning and deck manipulation.
The Destiny Engine
The absolute core relic for high-level Twisted Fate. It allows you to cycle his Champion Spell to draw cards, refill mana, and trigger his Star Powers repeatedly. At 6 stars, this enables near-infinite loops with his upgraded Blue Card.
His signature relic becomes Best-in-Slot at 6 stars. The generated Destiny Card benefits from his 6-star upgrades, offering a 1-mana 'Draw 2, Refill 2 Mana' (Blue Card) or massive board control (Red/Gold Card).
Provides consistent card draw and an Epic item on a randomly drawn card. This fuels his 'Power Riff' mechanic and helps dig for his win conditions.
Strategy
This build maximizes the power of his 6-star upgrade. The goal is to play Twisted Fate on Turn 1, use the upgraded Blue Card to refill mana and draw cards, and abuse the 'Power Riff' mechanic to reduce the cost of expensive cards to 0. Echoing Spirit ensures you never run out of gas.
Artillery Control
Twisted Fate generates significant spell damage through his Red and Gold cards. This relic amplifies that damage, allowing Red Card to clear wide boards and Gold Card to remove major threats.
Stacks with Big Guns to further increase skill damage. This is particularly effective for turning his Red Card into a lethal board wipe.
Once you reach 6 mana, this doubles every Destiny Card played. This creates exponential value, allowing you to stun the entire enemy board or deal massive burn damage to the Nexus.
Strategy
A control-oriented build that relies on surviving the early game and stabilizing with massive spell damage. It is less dependent on the 6-star infinite loops and more focused on raw board clear and burn damage.
Turn 1 Aggro
- Essential for consistency and generating the resources needed for an explosive Turn 1.
Provides immediate board presence and damage to the enemy Nexus, helping to level Twisted Fate quickly or trigger Plunder effects.
Reduces Twisted Fate's cost, ensuring he can be played immediately. The stats help him survive early rounds while you set up your engine.
Strategy
Designed for speed, this build aims to drop Twisted Fate instantly and start cycling cards. It is particularly effective for speedrunning adventures where setting up a long control game is unnecessary.
F2P Spellspam
- The most powerful Rare relic for Twisted Fate, doubling his value engine in the mid-to-late game.
- Boosts the damage of all Destiny Cards, essential for clearing enemy units without Epic relics.
Provides two Warning Shots on summon. These are excellent for triggering Plunder while adding to the 'cards played' count.
Strategy
A viable setup for players without Epic relics. Focus on stalling until mana 6, then utilize Chemtech Duplicator to double your Red and Gold cards for victory.
Other Relic Options
Mel's signature relic synergizes exceptionally well with Twisted Fate's cost-reduction mechanics, often feeling like a superior version of other mana-generation relics.
Surprisingly effective due to the 'Power Riff' mechanic. Twisted Fate can reduce high-cost units to 0 mana, allowing you to trigger this relic's effect multiple times in a single turn.
Generates a free card every round to help trigger his 3-card play condition and fuels his draw engine.
A strong alternative for mana generation and card cycling if Echoing Spirit is unavailable.
Constellation
Twisted Fate has one of the best-designed constellations in the game. His 'Star of Discovery' grants the 'Vision' effect, allowing you to see adventure nodes, and the 'Power Riff' power, which reduces the cost of cards based on how many cards you've drawn. This creates a unique 'drafting' playstyle where you actively seek out high-cost cards to play them for free.

The 'Power Riff' node reduces the cost of cards in your hand for every card drawn that round. This makes drafting expensive 6+ cost units highly effective, as they can often be played for 0 mana. Prioritize drafting high-cost bombs that would usually be too slow for other champions.
Destiny Card Order
When Twisted Fate levels up, he plays Destiny Cards in a fixed order: Blue, then Red, then Gold. Plan your turn around this sequence to maximize mana usage and board impact.
Turn 1 High Roll
