High Investment Required
Epic Relics
Vayne is a polarizing champion who transforms from a mediocre unit into an unstoppable OTK (One-Turn Kill) machine with high investment. While her base form is considered weak and fragile, a fully upgraded 6-star Vayne with specific Epic relics is widely regarded as one of the fastest and most efficient clearers in the game. However, her playstyle is often described as linear or 'one-dimensional,' leading to mixed fun scores despite her immense power.
The Exodia Setup
The cornerstone of high-level Vayne gameplay. It grants immunity to damage and death while attacking, allowing you to attack 3+ times per turn without risking Vayne's low health pool against large blockers.
Provides a suite of essential keywords (Fated, Augment, Challenger, Overwhelm, Regeneration) that scale Vayne into a massive threat instantly. The Challenger keyword is particularly vital for removing key threats or bypassing blockers.
This is the engine of the build. It refills your spell mana on summon, allowing you to cast 'Tumble' immediately on Turn 1 for an instant rally chain.
Strategy
This is the 'Exodia' build that enables Turn 1 kills. Play Vayne, refill mana with Lost Chapter, attack, then use Tumble (and generated Tumbles/Golden Spatulas) to attack repeatedly. Death's Foil ensures she survives every swing, while Chosen by the Stars scales her stats to lethal levels within a single turn.
Scaling Monster
Essential for survivability in Nightmare content where enemies have massive stats.
Scales stats and provides keywords.
Boosts the stat growth from Chosen by the Stars and Vayne's constellation powers, accelerating her scaling if you cannot secure a Turn 1 kill.
Strategy
A variant for adventures where you might not win on Turn 1 but need massive stats to push through damage reduction or high-health Nexus pools. Fear-Cleaving Axe doubles down on the stat growth provided by her kit.
Rare Relic Aggro
A budget way to scale Vayne's stats high enough to survive trades or push lethal damage.
Synergizes with Vayne's multi-attack identity to ramp up her power throughout the turn.
Crucial for mana generation to enable early Tumble plays.
Strategy
Without the safety of Death's Foil, this build relies on raw stats to survive. You must be more careful with your attacks, ensuring Vayne doesn't die to a large blocker. Use Challenger (from her deck or support) carefully to pick safe fights.
Other Relic Options
Serves as an equivalent for Hidden Tome.
Useful for transferring stats from supported allies to Vayne, though less optimal than Chosen by the Stars for pure solo scaling.
Granting Overwhelm to the board is powerful if you lack Chosen by the Stars, ensuring your massive Vayne doesn't get chump-blocked.
Avoid 'Living Weapon' and 'Twin Drakehounds'. Living Weapon buffs the equipped weapon (which Vayne swaps out frequently, losing the buff), and Twin Drakehounds is buggy with her level-up transformation.
Constellation
Vayne's constellation is heavily weighted towards the late game. Her early stars are underwhelming, but her 5-star and 6-star upgrades are transformative, turning her from a mediocre champion into a top-tier speedrunner.

It must do something...
Round Start: If you have the attack token and fewer than 2 equipment in hand, create a Golden Spatula.
Night Hunter
+1 Starting Mana. When an ally is equipped, give it Scout this round.

Armed To The Teeth
Allies with Equipment or attachments have +2|+2.Review
Star of Discovery: Generally considered a weak upgrade that doesn't significantly impact her game plan or power level.
Manaflow
Game Start: Get a mana gem.Review
Manaflow + Tumble Discount: Crucial. This upgrade solves her mana issues and allows for the explosive Turn 1 plays she is known for. Without this, she feels clunky.
Purge With Silver
When an ally attacks, give it +4|+0 this round.Review
Innate Scaling / Attack Boost: This power grants massive attack bonuses on attack. It removes the reliance on external stat-buffing relics and solidifies her status as an OTK machine.
Gameplay Tips
The Win Condition is Vayne
Mulligan aggressively for Vayne. Her entire deck and relic setup revolve around her being on the board. If you don't draw her, you will likely lose high-difficulty encounters.
The Turn 1 Combo
With the 'Exodia' build (Lost Chapter), your goal is to drop Vayne on Turn 1. The mana refill allows you to immediately cast Tumble. Attack with Vayne, cast Tumble to rally/free attack, and attack again. This loop often ends games immediately.
Safety First
Without Death's Foil, Vayne is extremely fragile. In Nightmare adventures with massive enemy units, do not attack blindly unless you are sure she will survive. If you have Death's Foil, ignore blockers completely and swing for the Nexus.
Beware of Mutators
Adventure mutators that increase the cost of created cards are a hard counter to Vayne, as they make her Tumble and equipment significantly more expensive, breaking her infinite rally chains.
Go Tall, Not Wide
Vayne does not need a board of units. She excels at 'Going Tall'—making herself the single strongest unit on the board. Focus all buffs and equipment on her to maximize the value of her multi-attacks.
