A highly effective build utilizing only rare relics. Stalker's Blade provides immediate board control and accelerates Viego's level-up condition. Corrupted Star Fragment ensures Viego scales continuously by eating his Mists. Troll King's Crown is essential for closing out games, though it can be swapped out once Viego's 4-star power is unlocked.
Other Relic Options
Excellent for protecting Viego from hard removal or stuns, ensuring your primary engine stays on the board.
A great alternative to Troll King's Crown for providing Overwhelm and bonus stats, but becomes completely redundant once Viego's 4-star power is unlocked.
Provides an immediate kill on drop, similar to Stalker's Blade, but requires Viego to reach 10+ power first.
Actively harms Viego's gameplan by transforming his Mists into random followers, removing the crucial Ephemeral keyword needed for his scaling.
Viego's base stats are too low for this to be impactful upon summon, and it does not assist in his scaling engine.

Viego struggles significantly against encounters with heavy stuns (like the Yasuo adventure) or 'frostbite on summon' effects (like Rimefang Shaman). These mechanics prevent his Mists from striking and dying, which halts his scaling entirely.
- Champion Spell Utility
Viego's champion spell, Utmost Despair, is generally considered very weak due to its high cost and the damage it deals to your own Nexus. Use it only in desperate situations to remove a critical threat, or if you have substantial Lifesteal or Regeneration to offset the penalty.
