Viktor is widely considered one of the strongest champions in the game, particularly at 6 stars where he can trivialize even the hardest content. However, his power is heavily backloaded into his constellation; he is often described as weak or frustrating at lower star levels (3 stars). While effective, his optimal gameplay loop of generating and playing created cards can become repetitive for some players.
The Evolution Engine
The cornerstone of Viktor's strongest build. It places created copies of Viktor into the deck. When a created Viktor is played at 6 stars, his power creates a second copy on the board, instantly doubling your engine.
Viktor's signature relic. It provides consistent keyword generation and stat growth every round. With two Viktors on board (via Echoing Spirit), you generate multiple upgrades per turn, scaling out of control rapidly.
Generates 'Redoubled Valor', which counts as a created card. This spell can be duplicated by Viktor's 6-star power or doubled by Chemtech Duplicator effects, leading to exponential stat growth and One-Turn Kills.
Strategy
This build maximizes Viktor's 6-star power. Hard mulligan for one of the 'created' copies of Viktor generated by Echoing Spirit. Playing a created copy triggers his constellation power, summoning a second Viktor. This doubles your Hex Core generation and Augment scaling. Use Hymn of Valor on an evasive unit to finish the game as early as Turn 2.
Turbo Acceleration
Essential for scaling and keyword generation.
Provides the created copies necessary to trigger the 6-star duplication effect.
Reduces Viktor's cost when the enemy Nexus is damaged. Viktor's 4-star power deals damage to the Nexus whenever a spell is played, making it trivial to trigger Plunder and play Viktor on Turn 1.
Strategy
This setup focuses on speed. Use any low-cost spell to trigger Viktor's 4-star 'Spell Burn' power, activating Packed Powder. This allows you to drop Viktor on Turn 1. From there, the Echoing Spirit and Perfect Hex Core synergy takes over to scale rapidly.
The Oathkeeper
Adds consistency and created copies of Viktor to the deck.
Shuffles level 2 champions into the deck. These count as created cards, meaning Viktor's 6-star power will duplicate them when played.
Reduces the cost of the champions drawn from Oath of the Guardians and buffs them, allowing for a board flood of powerful units.
Strategy
A fun alternative playstyle that leverages Viktor's duplication ability on units other than himself. By playing created Level 2 champions from Oath, you summon two of them instantly. Star Gem ensures they are cheap enough to play early, often resulting in a full board of champions by Turn 2.
Budget Augmentation
Duplicates spells once you reach 6 mana. While Viktor often wins before this at high levels, this relic is excellent for stabilizing and finishing games on lower-investment builds.
Provides a win condition through massive stat buffs.
Reduces Viktor's cost if Plunder is triggered. Use a spell to trigger Viktor's 4-star burn damage to activate this easily.
Strategy
This build is suitable for players without Epic or Paid relics. Use Scourge's Stash to get Viktor out early by triggering Plunder with a spell. Survive until mana 6, then use Chemtech Duplicator to double cast Hymn of Valor and your Hex Core upgrades for a massive swing turn.
Other Relic Options
Grants Overwhelm to allies, ensuring that Viktor's massive stats can actually end the game without being chump-blocked. Useful if you find yourself struggling to roll Overwhelm or Elusive.
A viable alternative to mana-reduction relics, effectively making Viktor free to play after a few turns.
Synergizes well with Augment and Fated, providing additional stats, keywords, and regeneration.
Provides immediate keywords (Overwhelm, Tough, Challenger), removing the RNG reliance on rolling them via Hex Core.
While 'Spellweaver's Symphony' and 'Luden's Tempest' are occasionally mentioned, they are generally outclassed by relics that offer cost reduction or direct board scaling.
Constellation
Viktor is a champion defined by his constellation. At 3 stars, he is widely considered weak and slow, struggling against aggressive adventures. His 4-star power is the minimum requirement for a smooth experience, while his 6-star power elevates him to god-tier status.

Technological Leap
Allies with Augment have +1|+1.
March of the Machines
+1 Starting mana. When you summon a created unit, grant it Augment.
Technological Leap II
Allies with Augment have +1|+1. Your Augments grant an additional +0|+1.
Spell Burn
When you play a spell, deal 1 to the enemy Nexus.Review
Essential. The ability to deal 1 damage to the enemy Nexus on every spell cast ('Spell Burn') allows Viktor to effortlessly trigger Plunder relics like 'Packed Powder' and 'The Scourge's Stash', enabling Turn 1 plays.
Manaflow
Game Start: Get a mana gem.
Power Surge
When you play a created spell or unit, copy it.Review
Transformative. This power duplicates any created card you play. This interacts with 'Echoing Spirit' to allow you to summon two Viktors for the price of one, doubling your engine's output. It turns Viktor from a slow scaling champion into a Turn 2 powerhouse.
Gameplay Tips
-
The Created Copy Rule: When using Echoing Spirit, your deck will contain 'created' copies of Viktor. Playing one of these created copies is mandatory to trigger his 6-star duplication power. Be careful when selecting cards in hand; use the card inspection tool (right-click or long press) to verify if the Viktor in hand has the 'Created by Echoing Spirit' text.
-
Plunder Activation: Viktor's 4-star power deals damage to the enemy Nexus whenever you play a spell. This makes activating Plunder relics (like Packed Powder or The Scourge's Stash) trivial. You do not need to attack; simply cast a Hex Core or any other spell, and his cost will be reduced immediately.
-
Fishing for Lifesteal: Viktor has no inherent healing. In difficult adventures, prioritize rolling for the Lifesteal keyword using your Hex Core upgrades. His 0-cost generated spells can also manifest Lifesteal. Once obtained, his massive stats allow him to fully heal your Nexus in a single strike.
-
Avoid Milling: With Echoing Spirit and a duplicated Viktor engine, your hand can fill up with Hex Cores very quickly. Be mindful of hand size to avoid burning key cards. Additionally, in adventures like Fiddlesticks where creating cards is punished, Viktor can accidentally deck himself out or take massive damage.
-
Turn 1 OTK Potential: With the Turbo Acceleration build (Perfect Hex Core, Echoing Spirit, Packed Powder) and the right starting powers (like 'Wild Inspiration' for spell cost reduction), it is possible to play Viktor and cycle through enough upgrades to win on the very first turn.
