Viktor is widely considered one of the strongest Piltover & Zaun champions when fully upgraded, but his power is heavily backloaded into his 6-star constellation. Players disagree about his playstyle. Some find his rapid scaling and keyword generation incredibly fun, while others feel his optimal builds lead to repetitive and unengaging gameplay.
Optimal Duplication
Game Start: Create 7 copies of me in deck. Champion Spells cost 1 less.
Power: Round Start: Create a Hex Core Upgrade in hand. Your Hex Core Upgrades have Stopwatch and can upgrade any ally.
When I'm summoned, create a Redoubled Valor in hand. It costs 3.
Strategy
This is the premier build for a 6-star Viktor. Echoing Spirit shuffles created copies of Viktor into your deck, reducing his cost and ensuring consistent early draws.
When you play a created Viktor, his 6-star power duplicates it, placing two Viktors on the board. Perfect Hex Core provides consistent keyword generation and triggers his 4-star spell burn. Hymn of Valor offers massive stat scaling, which is further amplified when you have multiple Viktors on the board, often leading to Turn 1 or 2 One-Turn Kills (OTKs).
Oath Swarm
- Game Start: Create 7 copies of me in deck. Champion Spells cost 1 less.
Play: Shuffle 5 level 2 champions into your deck and double their stats, then draw one of them.
Allied champions have +1|+1 and cost 2 less.
Strategy
A highly effective and dynamic build that leverages Viktor's 6-star power to duplicate the champions created by Oath of the Guardians.
By playing Viktor early, you can flood the board with heavily discounted, high-stat champions. Star Gem provides additional cost reduction, allowing for explosive early turns and reducing reliance on Viktor's personal scaling.
Zoe Specialized (10-Star)

Strategy
Specifically tailored for the 10-star Zoe adventure. Condenser transforms supported Viktors into 1-cost 1|1 copies in hand, which trigger Augment repeatedly when played.
The Beast Within synergizes perfectly by granting Overwhelm and bonus stats to all allies with a subtype, ensuring your massive board can push damage through Zoe's defenses. Echoing Spirit ensures you draw Viktor early and reduces his cost.
Pre-C6 / Chemtech Burn
- Power: Round Start: Create a Hex Core Upgrade in hand. Your Hex Core Upgrades have Stopwatch and can upgrade any ally.
When you play a spell, if you have 6+ mana gems, copy it with the same targets.
Plunder: I cost 2 less. I have +1|+1 for each different round you've damaged the enemy Nexus.
Strategy
A strong option for 4-star Viktors. Packed Powder allows you to cheat Viktor out early, as his 4-star power (Spell Burn) easily triggers Plunder.
Once you reach 6 mana, Chemtech Duplicator doubles all your spells, including Hex Cores, leading to rapid scaling and massive direct Nexus damage.
Other Relic Options
Synergizes flawlessly with his inherent Augment, providing Fated and crucial offensive keywords like Overwhelm and Challenger once Empowered.
A viable alternative to Packed Powder for early deployment via Plunder.

Constellation
Viktor's power curve is heavily backloaded. At 3 stars, he is often considered slow and vulnerable to disruption. However, his 4-star upgrade (which adds spell burn) and especially his 6-star upgrade (which duplicates created cards) transform him into an absolute powerhouse, making him one of the strongest champions in the game.

Gameplay Tips
- Identifying Created Copies
When using Echoing Spirit, it can be difficult to distinguish between the original Viktor and the created copies in your hand due to UI clutter. Always check the card text for 'Created by' to ensure you trigger his 6-star duplication effect.
- Keyword Limitations
Viktor cannot naturally generate Scout, Double Attack, Formidable, Hallowed, Lurk, or Attune from his Hex Cores. If you need these keywords, you must find them through external powers or items.
- Beware of Anti-Creation Modifiers
Viktor struggles significantly in adventures with modifiers that increase the cost of created cards (such as Broken Blade) or punish card generation (such as the Fiddlesticks adventure).
- Securing Lifesteal
Lifesteal is critical for Viktor's survivability in harder encounters. While he can generate it from Hex Cores, it is entirely reliant on RNG, so prioritize powers or items that grant sustain if possible.
- Lissandra Strategy
When facing Lissandra, aim for the Ethereal Remitter node on the top path to acquire 'Vestiges of Helia' (permanent Spellshield), which neutralizes her removal. Avoid playing Viktor as your first action on Turn 1 to prevent him from being Entombed immediately.
- Morgana Matchup
Morgana is a hard counter to Viktor. Her curses and immobilizing effects render his massive stats and keyword generation useless, so approach this encounter with extreme caution.
