Rare Relics OK
Yasuo is widely considered one of the strongest champions in Path of Champions, capable of clearing almost all content effectively even at 3 stars. His playstyle is heavily control-oriented, which guarantees safety but can be perceived as slow or 'boring' by players preferring aggressive strategies. While his 6-star power is potent, it is often viewed as 'overkill' or 'unnecessary' given his baseline strength.
Wind & Mischief
The Best-in-Slot relic for Yasuo. Provides +1 Starting Mana (enabling Turn 1 drops with C5) and synergizes perfectly with his stun/recall mechanics.
Provides essential Spellshield to Yasuo and his Squirrel. The puffcap generation on strike offers a potent alternative win condition (Nexus damage) that Yasuo otherwise lacks.
Crucial for consistency. Reduces the cost of his champion spell and ensures you draw him, which is vital as the deck struggles without him on board.
Strategy
This build maximizes Yasuo's potential at higher constellation levels (C5/C6). The goal is to drop Yasuo on Turn 1 using the extra mana from Windblade. Mischiefmaker's Flute turns his board control into Nexus damage via puffcaps, while Echoing Spirit ensures you always have access to his stun spells.
Tempest Control
Stuns all enemies when Yasuo levels up. This triggers his strike passive on the entire enemy board, often resulting in a complete board wipe.
Increases consistency and allows you to spam 'Steel Tempest' to control the board and level Yasuo quickly.
Generates a fleeting 'Steel Tempest' every round, ensuring you never run out of stuns to trigger Yasuo's passive.
Strategy
A highly effective control build suitable for all star levels. Focus on stalling and stunning units until Yasuo levels up. Once leveled, the Tempest Blade trigger usually clears the board, allowing you to swing for the win. GGC ensures you have a steady stream of stuns to keep the enemy board locked down.
Budget Stun Lock
The most important Rare relic for Yasuo. Provides a massive power spike upon leveling up.
Stuns an enemy on summon. Helps stall the game and contributes to Yasuo's level-up condition immediately upon play.
A second copy provides another instant stun, accelerating his level-up and securing the board early.
Strategy
This build relies on common and rare relics to mimic the control playstyle of higher-investment builds. The double Everfrost setup ensures that playing Yasuo immediately impacts the board, often stunning 2 enemies and advancing his level-up condition by 2.
Other Relic Options
Granting Overwhelm to the board helps Yasuo close games faster after clearing enemy units, addressing his issue of slow Nexus damage.
Provides a safety net against removal. Since Yasuo is the engine of the deck, keeping him alive is paramount.
A defensive alternative to Mischiefmaker's Flute if Spellshield is required but the Epic relic is unavailable.
Constellation
Yasuo's constellation is considered very strong, with excellent upgrades for his adventure spells (Mana Potion) and units (Spellshield on Bladetwirler). He performs exceptionally well at 3-stars, making further investment a luxury rather than a necessity.

Follow the Wind
Round Start: If you have the attack token, stun the strongest enemy.
Never Dull
+1 Starting Mana. When an ally strikes, grant it +1|+0
Follow the Wind II
Round Start: Stun the strongest enemy.
Dragon's Rage
When you summon an ally, grant it Fury. It is a Dragon.Review
Grants Fury. While it helps Yasuo scale into a massive unit, the long animations associated with the stat growth can make gameplay feel sluggish. Some players consider this a low-priority upgrade.
Manaflow
Game Start: Get a mana gem.Review
Manaflow (+1 Starting Mana). A fantastic upgrade that, when combined with Yasuo's Windblade, allows for a Turn 1 Yasuo deployment, significantly increasing his tempo and safety.
Typhoon
Round End: Recall Stunned enemies.Review
Recalls stunned enemies at round end. This creates a 'cheat code' effect where the AI often refuses to replay the recalled units due to cost increases (from Windblade) or tempo loss. However, it can be a detriment in specific encounters like Lissandra, where recalling 'The Watcher' resets its cost to 0, allowing her to replay it infinitely.
Gameplay Tips
-
Mulligan Aggressively: Yasuo is the engine of the deck. Without him, the deck struggles to control the board or win. You must mulligan aggressively to find him or use relics like Echoing Spirit to improve consistency.
-
Beware of Decking Out: Yasuo's champion spell and several cards in his deck draw cards. In long, grindy matches (like against Fiddlesticks or Puffcap encounters), be careful not to mill yourself to death.
-
The Lissandra Interaction: Be cautious when using C6 Yasuo against Lissandra. Recalling her Watcher is a trap, as it is a 0-cost unit that she will simply replay for free, potentially leading to an infinite loop. In this specific matchup, it is better to kill the Watcher outright or keep it stunned without recalling it if possible.
-
Prioritize Stuns: Yasuo's primary removal is his passive ability to strike stunned units. Prioritize drafting powers and items that stun or frostbite enemies (Frostbite counts as a stun for stalling purposes, though it doesn't trigger his strike).
-
Turn 1 Drop: If you have the setup (C5 + Windblade), play Yasuo on Turn 1. This establishes immediate board control and prevents the enemy from developing their board, making runs significantly smoother.
